Curiosity on Mars, mountains and rocky plains

epa03351754 A handout image provided by NASA on 09 August 2012 shows an image taken 08 August 2012 by the Left Navigation Camera on NASA’s Curiosity rover, showing a part of the Mars rover Curiosity and distant hills on the horizon. Curiosity has sent numerous images from Mars surface and a video of its landing so far. All of the rover’s antennas are in working order, allowing it to send back data successfully, the space agency’s Jet Propulsion Laboratory said.
