I’m pretty sure if you looked up the definition of “diverse,” my writers group would get a mention. We range from high-school to retired, kids books to steamy romance, and loud-mouthed to always polite. And before anyone asks, yes I fit into one of those categories, and there’s no prize for guessing which.
Unlike me, one of our members is quiet and softly spoken, Mary Morgan. She’s a voiceover artists and drives a minivan. The very recipe for reserved, you might think, but, it’s always the quiet ones. Here she is on a recent trip to New Zealand, enjoying the scenery.
Yep, it’s always the quiet ones.
The big question is, would you be able to put on a voice while your hanging out over a giant drop?
Cheers!
YEAH, I GOT CAUGHT/MARRIED ONE! LOL
🙂
You know, if I could be 100% sure of the ropes and attachments, I’d love to do this – it looks like a blast! Sadly, I’m not a trusting soul. I’d get poised at the edge and start thinking about tensile strength and metal fatigue and shear forces, and then I’d run screaming to a place far, far from the edge. Preferably a place with copious amounts of beer.
I’m with you, Diane. I just can’t give up thinking about torque values and fatigue curves and how it would be sensible to check it with a dummy first. I never like submitting myself to nature’s forces without some sort of engine or brake.
Cheers!
Yes, but mine would be a Samuel L. Jackson voice saying, “Get me off of this #$*@$ platform, %&$(*$&##$@s, or I’m gonna *&%#@&$^ your @&^*$^%&^ heads with my #*(@#^ and then I’ll %@#@!%^ your (#@^*&^ and @%&#^%$ ^#$%* #$*@#.”
Good for Mary!
Piper stole my %*^#ing answer!
Assuming the ACK attack hadn’t sent me to a foreign land (for me) called Speechless.
She’s got guts, Piper. If I was anywhere near this, I wouldn’t have my lunch, so to speak!
Cheers 🙂
I’ll just have to remain the loudmouth. Not much of a daredevil. Good for you, though, Mary.
I think we can all fulfill more than one role from time to time, but I won’t be the throwing-myself-of-cliffs one!
Cheers
Yikes.
Eloquently put 🙂
Cheers!
My writers group is eclectic like that. Our voice over guy is an older gentleman from South Africa. Your “quiet one” definitely has daring. 🙂
