Diane Capri
Diane has been a friend of mine in several online writing groups for some years. She’s a prolific writer with thirty-plus books to her name. She’s talented, hardworking, and generous with her wisdom – all of which has helped her to the USA Today and New York Times bestsellers lists on more than one occasion.
At the start of 2015, a friend of ours recommended that we write together. Diane and I already knew we had similar writing interests, and spent some time exploring the possibility. Once we got onto the subject of what we would write, everything just clicked. We swapped numerous ideas, finally settling on expanding the adventures of one of her characters, an investigative reporter called Jess Kimball.
Jess is smart, dedicated, and willing to take risks. She doesn’t know everything, and she makes mistakes, but that means she has room to grow. She learns, and becomes stronger for it. It also helps that I’m pretty adept at making mistakes myself, so we’ve got something in common!
Despite having worked together for a year, we haven’t actually met. I’m sure that day is coming, but in the meantime you’ll have to settle for this picture of her with another ex-Brit – albeit an ever-so-slightly better known one than me 😉
